I'm headed down to Little Italy next week with a group of friends and wondering if any of the places are significantly better than the others.
I'm generally wary of such locales as mediocre restaurants can thrive for years since they don't have to rely on repeat business, there's always a steady influx of new tourists (case in point, Lindy's in Times Sq, which I haven't eaten in since I first moved to NYC 18 years ago). I'm hoping there's a few gems in the sand here.
As I'm going with a large group and it'll be dutch treat, moderate is better than expensive, but more important is a good bang for the buck, or value.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions,
