Went to Standard Tap for brunch on Sunday and was floored. As usual, the crowd was as ecclectic as it gets. The music too- everything from jazz through new wave. A nice breeze, I really can't say enough good things...

I had a bacon-goat cheese quiche that was phenomenal. Not overly salty AND, suprisingly, didn't seem loaded with fat. Just the right amount of seasoning, even on the potatoes. My friend had the smoked venison baked eggs. These were excellent- a creamy, mushroom broth with chunks of venison mixed with eggs. Again, although filling, really didn't seem loaded with fatty butter, cream, oil, what have you. And salt/seasoning great as well. My new favorite brunch in the city.
