Spumoni Restaurant - Review

Thanks for the help yesterday with finding a place in the Valley. Decided on Spumoni (I have a soft spot in my heart for gnocchi, so it wasn't a hard decision).

Had a great experience! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was great! The olive spread for the bread was very tasty - not too much oil with the right amount of olive. The bread was a little hard for my liking, which was fine enough -- because I needed more room for the gnocchi.

And the gnocchi...oh my! was that GOOD. I don't know how they achieve the consistency they do. Perfect on the outside, a little softer in the middle. It was incredible. I had it with the meat sauce, which I didn't care for as much (I'm not a big sauce person), but the sauce definitely grew on me. Couldn't finish the whole plate, which means I'm really looking forward to my leftovers lunch today.

Also had some GREAT spumoni for dessert... very flavorful!

It was the perfect suggestion - thank you. 2 entrees, 2 glasses of wine and dessert came to $38, pre-tip.

Can't wait to go back and try more from their menu!
