Spring Break in Burlington, VT reviews (a little long)

I want to thank everyone who responded to my post a couple of months ago about restaurants, etc in the Burlington area. Since someone was complaining about how everyone recommends stuff but no one ever says how it went, I thought I'd try to briefly recap how our week went -

Smokejacks - my husband said it was the best meal we had in VT so far. He loves duck and loved the duck there. We also loved the toasted bread with roasted garlic and gorgonzola appetizer. I personally made a misorder for the entree, the little veggie dumplings were rather dry and I wish I had ordered the pork loin. Bread pudding and the chocolate/raspberry bundles were fabulous.

Pacific Rim - A good solid noodle joint with wonderful dumplings.

Vietnam Restaurant in Essex Junc. - my husband misordered here, garlic stir fry, only so-so. I had the Pho Ga and something about it was very deeply satisfying, I practically licked the bowl.

Loong Chats - fairly decent thai food. Cannot compare to the thai restaurant in Ithaca, but I now realise that nothing ever will compare to that Proustian moment.

Other restaurants we went to Leunig's Bistro, Libby's Blue Line Diner in Colchester (I personally love diners) and Daily Planet (lovely seafood chowder).

Again, thank you for all of your recommendations. We are going to have to wait until we move up there to hit Montreal. My husband's first and only interview for a teaching position was in Milton and they offered him the job. So we will definitely be there by June and I am looking forward to finding out where the best produce stands are located. Now, if anyone wants to recommend some one-bedroom apts that take cats in the Burlington area, I'm all ears...
