Spice Market-Underwhelming ripoff

Mark DiBlasi | May 30, 2004 12:12 PM

Lunch at Spice Market-wings that were more sour than anything else, green curry vegetables (all 8 pieces of them for $10) in a sort of scant sour gravy, and coconut/tamarind monkfish that was pretty much like TGI Friday's coconut shrimp, only this was three little pieces for $19. Nothing great or special about any of the food (nothing really bad, just very ordinary).

Snotty, spacey generally inattentive service. Skip this joint unless you absolutely worship Jean Georges or just have to make the scene.

Head for Sripraphai instead.
