I was just at a restaurant in Florida where they had some special bread in the bread basket . . . one was thin sliced dense raisin bread, obviously sprinkled with sugar then baked . . . the other was thin sliced dense bread, sprinkled with cheese then baked. Both of them came out nice and crunchy; you break it off and then eat it. Tough not to eat the whole basket! Any idea of how to make that at home? It seems that one should just bake it and it would "harden", but thought I would ask you all in case any of you have done it already.
