I know next to nothing about this stuff, except that I came across references to it reading a little about ports, sherries, and madeira. Now I've got it in my head that I need to try some of these things.
I gather these are muscats or other sweet grapes whose fermentations are stopped by addition of neutral alcohol, resulting in a high sugar content, like ports, et al.
