Made my first visit last night to this Atlantic Avenue place, which has been touted by a few 'hounds. Gotta say, I wasn't too impressed. Fried chicken was dry, leathery, close to inedible, even the dark meat; jerk chicken was better -- not top-shelf, but respectable; baked chicken was unremarkable; smothered lamb chops had a good garlicky sauce, but the meat itself was tough and stringy.
Sides: okay mac&cheese, decent collards, so-so green beans, plus some sort of stuffing-ish dressing that was insufferably sweet.
Service was very nice.
All in all: Not completely awful, but certainly not special.
