I decided to have tapas at Solea on Friday night with my girlfriend. I had been to the bar once for Sangria, but never in the main dining room. I was impressed with how large it was.
We ordered 4 plates: Spinach and Artichoke Fritters, Tenderloin with herb sauce, Grilled Chicken with Ancho and tomatoes, and Sizzling garlic shrimp.
I was happy with everything but the chicken. It was extremely bland. It may have benefitted from some salt, but there wasn't even any on the tables. I should have complained, but we just accepted it and enjoyed the other food.
Drinks were good as well. I had a Pisco Sour and a Tangatini (Belvedere Vodka with Gran Marnier), both pretty good. My girlfriend put back a few glasses of Chardonnay which were pretty subtle with a sweet after taste. Overall, pretty good, but I would skip the chicken. We decided to dip it in the garlic oil the shrimp came in instead.
On a side note...does anyone know when Tempo is opening? The menu was posted, but it was closed.
