It's May time for soft shell crabs, so joined 4 other chow buddies to sample the the 2 varieties that Peach farm offered 2nite; Salt and pepper fried, and ginger scallion - definitely preferred the Salt and Pepper, crispy outside soft and taste of the sea juicy crab inside. I thought the ginger overpowered the crab in the latter version.
we started with an appetizer of littlenecks in black bean sauce - good start.
we saw a nice platter of noodles pass by and asked waitor what it was- Udon noodles with beef - ordered it and was just good as it looked.
also had Maggi(sp?) eel- this was utterly fantastic - cubes of fresh soft eel fried in a sweetish thick soy type sauce and covered with fried crisp bits of garlic.
nice order of greens of the day; baby bok choy of some sort maybe? I don't know but it was mighty tasty.
ended with 2nd order of s/p fried soft shell crabs and an order of little neck clams and chives over crispy rice noodles, this was very good but we were all stuffed.
Kudos to Peach Farm, excellent food and preparation and they are very hospitable always. I know on this board we write about PF frequently but with good reason.
