Maine Crabcakes with a lime Tabasco aioli & roasted corn salsa - excellent - crispy, incredibly meaty, not too bready.
New Zealand green lipped mussels - perhaps a little dry - the mussels arrive on the half shell, which means they're not protected during the steaming. The broth was very flavorful.
A garden salad with a delightful mix of greens.
Garam Masala Roasted Half-Duck - this is a huge portion - I actually took most of it home. Served with a mango orange sauce which is addictive.
Cracked Black Pepper-rubbed Hanger Steak: grilled, served with rouge butter, red wine demi, truffle sea salt, roasted potatoes and an arugula demi-salad - a competently cooked piece of steak.
Thai Style Braised Short Ribs with oriental spices, citrus, soy, honey & spice served with wasabi, mashed potatoes & Asian slaw - fabulous rib, a terribly astringent mashed
carrot cake - with pineapple - very moist
chocolate creme brulee - a good pot of cream, though there was no crust to speak of
Having eaten in the valley for 16 years, I am happy to report we finally have a good higher end restaurant!
