Earlier this week I posted about the bad experience I had with the maitre'd at Snack Taverna on Saturday night. I had called the restaurant to complain and had not yet heard back.
I wanted to let everyone know that I got a call from the owner today (he had been away earlier) and he apologized, didn't try and excuse the conduct and said he hoped I would come back. He also offered to send me a gift certificate for my next visit. (I took him up on the offer.)
This really goes to show how important it is to go back to the restaurant and voice your concerns and disappointment. It provides them the opportunity to make things right and gives you some insight into how much they value their customers. Just the fact that the owner called me and apologized makes me want to go back, because it's clear that they want me as a customer.
Needless to say, I can now unreservedly recommend Snack Taverna, the way I used to.
