For awhile now, I've made what has come to be in my family known as brianna rose's aloha bread (after the newest infant in the family), you can't really taste the banana, so I wanted to make a banana liquor glaze. (lost my basic glaze, was very simple fruit juice sugar and water boiled on the stove to a glaze it was a modified ham glaze recipe, I like my glaze very thick and sticky.) I was thinking banana nectar and banana liquor figured the banana nectar be a nice way to remove the water not sure if it's possible. I've never had banana nectar not sure what it tastes like, but I've seen it at price right. I am doing 2 loafs of bread for that one glaze. I plan on making a total of 4. The other one I was thinking of malibu coconut rum, also replacing the water with goya coconut water.
Not sure how they'd come out...but these are the only coconut and banana ideas I can think of...so before I do any cooking I was wondering what others could think of....also if you have a basic recipe for glazes with sugar water and juice I'd love to hear it. (last time I used 4 20 oz jars of cherry juice.)
