Just wanted to report that I had a great meal at the Sierra Room in downtowm Grand Rapids Saturday night.
Started with the seared tuna app. Very good, but not a very big serving. We also had the seafood "gumbo". It was a very good seafood soup, but it didn't taste like it was made with a roux, like a gumbo should be.
We had each of the 2 seafood specials that night. A fish I had nevcer heard of: hevi and monkfish. Both were excellent.
Finished with the creme brulee sampler (3 different flavors) and the homemade gelato. Very nice. Oh, the martinis and espresso were good too.
Overall a great experience. I love the look of the room and the service was great.
Don't know why I don't see any mention of this place on this forum.
