WOW! Stranded @ Costco in Iwilei getting tires we walked in the heat a relatively short distance from Costco to this little gem on Nimitz Highway for lunch. About 50 or less seats we arrived to a friendly greeting served water immediately - needed! and set down to a menu with I think 57 things.
Within minutes the place was full, the bar stools all taken mostly by people who wanted a table and later were moved to said seating. We had a wonderful calamari with a well balanced sweet and peppery hot dip, spring rolls with a thick yet dippable peanut sauce, garlic fish fillet with sticky rice and pad thai. The pad thai we had with chicken one of the choices. I would just go with vegetarian as the chicken did not do any great service to the dish. We had a couple Chang beers which completely complemented and stood up well to the dishes. I have wanted to eat there for a couple years but have never found the time, opportunity knocked and I'm glad we followed! I highly suggest anyone who would like some great Thai food in a lovely little setting definitely make it out there. It's in the Nimitz business/shopping center where New Eagle is also located.
