I went to Shula's 2 over the weekend and had mixed feelings on the food. We were a big party (about 20 people) and we ordered a bunch of appetizers to start. I tried the bruschetta and the spinach & artichoke dip. The bruschetta was great. The bread was fine and the tomatoes were fresh and tasty. The oil used blended well and brought out the flavor of the tomatoes. The Spinach & Artichoke dip was good, but instead of blending cheese into the mix, they made the dip and melted cheese on the top. I think it could have been a bit better.
For the entree I had a flat-iron steak that was not bad, but was missing a bit on taste. It was juicy and had mushrooms and onions mixed in. The mashed potatoes were very good though. It had cheese mixed in and was not too creamy. It complemented the steak well.
Overall, I'd say it was worth another visit. I might have picked an entree that was not their best, so I'll probably be back later this year and give them another chance.
