Thanks to finding a few posts about Mr. Shrimp on another CH thread, we recently enjoyed a really great dinner here. This is an excellent choice for a simple fresh seafood or fish dinner.
A few things to note:
-- it's just off the beaten path so you'll avoid the crush of tourists (it's the anti-Kleins!).
-- call ahead for a table as they take reservations & request a booth.
-- it's coastal casual, family friendly and is a lot bigger inside than it looks.
-- they have a fresh fish counter/market as you enter for picking up something to go.
-- there's no boats or water in sight, but you'll forget about that, as soon as you taste the food.
J had the sea bass and I had the fried Ipswich clam dinner. Both were excellent. My Ipswich clams were lightly battered and lightly fried so you could really savor the freshness of the clams.
We also loved the crab and cream cheese spread served with the bread sticks.
Where else can you get excellent fish and more served in a very nice dining room by friendly staff that's happy to serve you? We've found our new fav for our shore visits.
