While a number of places have started carrying various English cheeses from Neal's Yard and elsewhere (ie. Artisan, Whole Foods, Rainbow), has anyone seen any blue Wensleydale or (extremely unlikely) Yorkshire ewe's blue in SF yet? I ask because of a comment on a NY Times article on roquefort today, stating that Americans should expect to soon see more Yorkshire cheeses as buyers had been there looking for alternatives to French cheeses.
We became familiar and just love these two English cheeses (the Yorkshire ewe's blue is just as creamy as the best roquefort, IMO)from our annual summer stints in Northumbria and would love to find a local source. As white Wensleydale can sometimes be found, I'm hoping the blue version which I greatly prefer will show up sometime soon.
