I'm from San Francisco and planning on visiting Boston for a quick business trip very shortly. I'm staying at the Hyatt Regency hotel on Avenue de Lafayette, and visiting an office on Franklin and Arch.
While it's not my first visit to Boston, it is the first time I'm bringing a chowhound's focus and attention to my trip's meals. I've got Wednesday and Thursday dinners to enjoy some damn good food in Boston.
I love seafood, but am pretty open to anything great. I think I can skip sushi, Chinese and Mexican food, since I'm from San Francisco. I'd prefer to get something I can only get in Boston.
Food quality is most important, environment is not as important - I'm totally up for a small divey shop if that's what it will take. Totally flexible on cost, so upscale is fine too, if the food is worth it. I probably will have some work colleagues in tow.
If I can walk there from the office or hotel, that seems convenient, but I'll gladly take the T or a cab for great food.
Thanks in advance.
