Eight years since my last visit to Vancouver, but what I do remember leaves me almost salivating with anticipation! The seafood and the chocolate hedgehogs are particularly vivid memories.
I understand that Sun Sui Wah is still very good, and a couple of other Chinese restaurants were named on the board below, but are there any other places I should not miss? I'd be especially interested in something other than Chinese food, as I have little doubt that some excellent fried pigeon, maybe geoduck, and crab (are these in season now?) are fattening up for me at this very minute somewhere in BC, in preparation for their rendezvous with me at Sun Sui Wah.
We're probably pretty spoiled in the Bay Area, but I know some of the best food on Earth is in BC, and I'm hoping that the Canadian 'hounds will let me in on the scent trail of a few of those wondrous delicacies--seafood and sweets, especially--enough for 4 great lunches and 3 memorable dinners.
