Went to Obrycki's for lunch past weekend. Besides the poor service, we were prompted by the waitress to start with a dozen medium crabs with no other sizes available. When the crabs came out, they were cold, with slight amount of wet spices scattered over (not the mound of dry spices over the shell). When I cracked them open, the meat was shriveled (jerky) dry on the claws and legs, and the belly meat was a bit smelly. It looks, tastes and feels like crabs from the day before (especially showing up at luch time). Obviously, I had to get them to replace with fresh ones which were entirely different.
Knowing that they don't do this at steak houses,or even McDonalds, I would like to know is serving leftover crabs from the day before typical in crab houses?
