Last night I went to Sentosa(3 Allen Street in Chinatown) for my second experience with Malaysian food
(been to Penang).
This place was great. Our group of 6 tried many dishes.
The Highlights were...
Rotitelur- soft pancake filled with egg and scallion and chilis served with a small bowl of curry sauce with chicken.
Pasembur- This was a salad type of dish with raw jicama, bean sprouts and fried tofu with a delicious red sweetish chili sauce and dried squid strips...we thought they were jelly fish. Also topped with some fried crispy pancakes and hard boiled egg quarters. A great dish IMHO of course.
Asam Laksa- Rice noodle soup with strange flavor. Rich dark hot and sour type broth with fish flakes and possibly thai basil.
Sambal Ikam Billis- Dried anchovies with shrimp paste, sliced red onion and tamarind sauce. Crunchy, sweet, salty and spicy.
We had quite a few more dishes large portions and bill came to 14.00 per person including a few beers.
