Hello all, I have just ordered a copy of Seed to Seed by Suzanne Ashworth. I'm really looking forward to receiving it, but I need to know something.
Some of the information is broken up into U.S. Regions:
Mid-Atlantic, Southeast/Gulf Coast, Upper Midwest, Southwest, Central West Coast, Maritime Northwest
I am in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. I don't know much about U.S. climates and geography.
I can tell you that Brisbane is sub-tropical, humid, frost happens sometimes but infrequently... definitely not every year.
The warmest average max/ high temperature is 29 °C (84 °F) in January, February & December, but we do have some days where it is much hotter - maybe 34 °C (93.2 °F).
The coolest average min/ low temperature is 9 °C (48 °F) in July but the temps can get down to around 4 °C (39 °F).
We are on the coast as well.
Would someone mind telling me which U.S. region would be most similar to my area, if possible? I hope I've given you enough information to go on!
I did do a google search, but couldn't find anything useful.
Many thanks in advance!
Edit: I just found this forum thread which might be useful, I'm reading it now: http://www.city-data.com/forum/austra...
This information indicates not as warm as Miami, maybe similar to Florida? Trying to look it up on Google maps but it's not loading.
