I just had my first(this year) order of sweet Maine Shrimp for lunch today at Herbs and Spices on Rt 16 in Wellesley.
Beautifully shiny, creamy, a little buttery and very sweet the tails were. The sushi chef offered to fry the heads for me to which I immediately said yes. Very delicate coating of rice flour turned the shells into thin brittle with sweet shrimp essence, they had a little bit of ponzu on the side to dip them into.
This was the first day they had gotten the sweet Maine shrimp in. The season only lasts 3 or 4 weeks so get em while you can.
I posted previously about this place during the holidays... I think it's a must try for anyone in the area.
