I took my friend to Church & State assuming there would be seared foie gras on the menu (you know, per the other French items on the menu like escargot, steak frites, etc.). Alas they only served foie gras terrine. Now this terrine was probably a wonderful dish, but for my friend's first foie experience I really had my heart set on her tasting seared foie gras.
Does anyone know where this is a menu staple in LA? I looked at Animal's menu, which changes daily, and they had foie gras as an ingredient in a dish or two but a) it may not be offered daily, and b) it may not be seared.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
