Searching for decent Chinese on West side

Our favorite stop for Chinese has long been Great Wall on Camelback and 35th Ave. -- it's frequented by mostly Asian customers, and the menu is huge. Our frequently ordered dishes are the duck soup with fun noodles; pot stickers; ma po tofu; beef chow fun; orange chicken. Now Great Wall has been closed for "renovation" for about six weeks and we are going into withdrawal. (We have found that when restaurants close for "renovation" it often means that they will never return, but this restaurant does a huge business with the Asian community so we hold out hope that they will reopen someday.) Chandler is too far for us to travel at rush hour/dinnertime, and we have tried a number of other Chinese restaurants in the Glendale/Peoria area to no avail. The biggest disappointment was a little place in the same strip mall with Asiana grocery store, which we assumed would be good due to its proximity to actual Asian customers; however, this proved to be totally untrue.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I know someone will suggest Silver Dragon, but we had a truly awful meal there a couple of years ago and vowed never to return.
