My grandmother has sent me on a search for what she called jewish deli hotdogs. Her and my fathers's family lived in Brooklyn around Ave U in the 50's and she remember buying these hotdogs from delis in the area, When she described them to me she said they were gray, hung in skins or tubes above the counters and were very garlicky. I don't think that was a very appetizing description but she remembers them fondly. She no longer lives in NY so she has sent me on this mission and who is to deny an 80 year old woman her hotdogs. If anyone has any idea where I can find these the information would be much appreciated. Thanks!
