In Search of good Chinese take-out in the SGV

We have to attend a meeting of a board of directors. We have been designated to bring the food [for about 30 people]. Designated food: Chinese of our choice.

Now we eat all over the SGV and have all manner of family favorite restaurants like Homestyle, Heavy Noodling, MeiLong Village, Northern Chinese Restaurant*, Green City [is that right now?] China Islamic, Sam Woos etc etc etc. And we always order way too much food and haul home tons of leftovers which are devoured by the next day.

But take-out, to me, is a different kettle of fish because the food is packed hot and ends up doing a bit of steaming in the container. Plus the meeting location is way down Baldwin Road near the race track and most of our favorite places are north and south of the 10 near Del Mar.

Can someone suggest a few restaurants that we could get good food that will survive a probably 20-30 minute drive in a take-out container? And while you are at it, can you suggest some things to order as well? We love noodles and dumplings and just about everything but I don't know how they will hold up to the transit.

Many thanks!

* I confess that I really want to go to Northern and order 3 or 4 fake dog meats to go. I know the group will eat it if I don't tell them what it is!
