In search of best bear claw

Laurel Timms | Feb 24, 2003 05:24 PM

I was raised a good portion of my child life in Occidental in the early 80s, and my Mom would take us
to a quick breakfast before school at a bakery called Landmark at the far end of the one road funky town. It was run by the Moonie sect.

They made great breakfast pastries-their signature
was the best bear claw I have ever tasted. My
family still talks and dreams about it.

Sadly, Landmark closed its doors and we stocked up
on bear claws which lasted for a week in the freezer.
We didn't get the recipe before the Moonies launched out of the area.

Does anyone out there amongst the foodie galaxy have
the Landmark recipe for bear claws?

I would be forever indebted...
