I'm a west coast chowhounder seeking advice for a February visit to NY, a favor that I will glady give to you when you come to visit my town, San francisco.
My partner is a former NY'er (we're talking 30 years ago) with fond memories of Italian food. He wants to know where to go to get a delicious shrimp diavolo. He's taking me to Chez Panisse for our annual holiday lunch (hope they have their amazing brick-oven roasted crab)and I promised to search for ideas from those in the know as to where to go. This is where you come in.
So has this been debated? I searched but nothing came up. Any insights/recommendations that you have would be greatly appreciated.
We will be staying on upper west side but will go anywhere for good eats.
