Hey Hounds. Planning a last minute trip with my elderly MIL and DW tomorrow, and need some advice that limits the amount of walking required but still lets her have a nice experience. The plan so far is to drive to Quincy in the morning and hop a commuter boat to Long Wharf. Hoping that gives us a nice view of the city from the outer and inner harbors. Once there, we could eat at The Chart House which is right on the pier. If it's like other Chart Houses I've been to, the food is high priced and none too special, although it won't kill you. Pasta Beach seems like a better idea and also seems walkable. Plus it gets some love on this board, but it's hard to tell if it has a decent view. If the patio is nice without a view I guess that would be acceptable, but not as desirable. (realizing that like anywhere else, waterfront dining and great food quality are usually mutually exclusive). Our last option would be to cab it to Aragosta on Battery Wharf, but it seems to get very mixed reviews, and they do a Brunch menu on Saturdays with a truncated lunch offering.
Open to other places I haven't mentioned or would love your feedback on those I've mentioned.
