Saturday adventure at the market (SEA)

We decided to venture downtown today and ended up having a great lunch and one of the most decadent deserts I've ever had.

Lunch was at Matt's at the Market. Posole stew was great - thick, spicy with chunks of pork and shredded cabbage on top. My husband had their catfish poboy sandwich. He said that it was "great, nice and spicy". Matt's not only has some of the best food in town, but the atmosphere and the staff are wonderful!

After a walk through the market (during which I had to pick up a barbeque baked humbow and some turkish delight for snacking on tomorrow), we went to Le Pichet for hot chocolate. We'd read that they make a hot chocolate that is thick and bittersweet. It sounded like the hot chocolate we had in Paris at Angelinas and we definitely wanted to check it out. Well, it was just as good as the hot chocolate in Paris. Bittersweet and thick (almost more like a hot pudding). Fresh whipped cream is served on the side to cut the richness. It was the best hot chocolate I've ever had. Very, very rich - I would recommend splitting one cup between two people. So... if anyone is a fan of rich, bittersweet chocolate, this is the place to go, especially in this cold weather.

We took a look at their dinner menu and are definitely planning to go sometime to check out the roast chicken! Has anyone had dinner there? Would love to hear your recommendations!
