We had the opportunity to try Sushi House in Alameda with some friends. It was unbelievably cheap and as a result, had the longest wait for a table!
I thought the sushi was really good and generous, but found the sashimi to be sort of watery and really cold? Is their fish previously frozen and was it watery tasting because it had been defrosted by soaking it in water? I know it sounds strange but it made me wonder how they could offer sashimi at such a low price. Does anyone know where Sushi House gets their fish and how or why they are able to offer such low prices?
Overall, we had a fabulous time and I would definitely go back...but I am curious about their fish...
