Been perusing your local threads about good eats in Louisville. Ran across Burdoo and Kentucky Hot Browns and even Frickled Pickles. Everything sounds very interesting...and tasty!
I'll be attending the Mid-America Trucking Show at the Convention Center next Wed-Fri and staying out on Breckenridge near the Henry Watterson Parkway.
I'll be with a bunch of guys who are reasonably sophisticated in their tastes. Don't know how adventurous everyone is, but TWO of us are serious Chowhounds from the SF Bay Area.
We like BBQ, uniquely Southern cuisine, Mexican, exotic, and even (heaven forbid) lowcarb. Personally, I'm an omnivore. I'm looking for great tastes and good prices. I'm not above street food and love the white tablecloth places.
I have a group dinner for Wednesday (group dinner for 6-8) and Thursday's open (breakfast, lunch, dinner).
Any recommendations would be appreciated.
"Must have's" especially welcome. :-)
Thanks very much in advance.
