We will be spending 5 days in Tuscany and then driving up to Venice early in July. On our way we were thinking of stopping for a nice, long lunch in Bologna. I've read many good things about San Domenico, so I had a few questions for somebody whose eaten there recently.
Is this our best option and worth whatever it costs?
Are they even open for lunch?
Do I need to wear nicer clothes (jacket?) to eat lunch?
Other than one lunch at La Giostra in Florence we are eating wherever the mood strikes us, so I wanted one more exceptional meal. Is this it? I've pretty much decided that if we eat an expensive meal in Venice it will be more for the view than the food, so this seemed like a good option.
Many thanks to anyone who answers :o)
