coming out next saturday. we're staying at the 'hotel la jolla at the shores' on the weekend-for fun, and the 'park manor suites' on spruce st./6th ave. @ nw balboa park during the week-for business. i'm a die-hard nyc hound who mostly wants the local chow, but we have the company dime to spend too. i'll be going it alone while the spouse has to work unfortunately for her. any comments about what i've found so far appreciated. hotel comments too. ps--i've been to sd area once before.

la jolla: RAMELS in la jolla village for fish, ROPPONGI for happy hour tapas, THE COTTAGE for breakfast/lunch, NINE-TEN for nice dinner.

fish tacos: EL ZARAPE in univ. hts., SOUTH BEACH BAR&GRILL in ob, any others?

mescal/tequila: AGAVE in old town, INDIGO GRILL and KEMO SABE in hillcrest

san diego: PARALLEL 33 for fish, MARINE ROOM(?)

tijuana: CARNITAS URUAPAN, LA ESPECIAL stand, EL GUERO

so how am i doon? easy enough to get to these?comments/additions/explanations appreciated. also, i wanted to rent a bicycle to ride around any recs there (i know about the rental by the ferry in coronado is it still there?)? thanks again fellow chowhounds.
