We just got back from a trip to Salt Islands and had the best breakfast at a B&B we were staying in, the Fulford Creek Guest House.
One morning we had fresh squeezed and organic carrot, apple, and ginger juice; a poached egg with lox on fresh baked bread, toasted, and sliced tomatoes with basil; Homemade gooseberry and blackberry jam; fresh baked rolls and pumkin seed butter; and Fresh organic fruit.
The second morning we had less time in order to catch a ferry, but we were served thick blueberry waffles with pecans; fresh fruit and yogurt; croissants, and fresh squeezed o.j. The food was really fresh, and well prepared.
The owners Brian and Gabrielle are really great,
and we had a very comfortable stay.
Off the food topic, Salt Spring is an artistic and politically active community with their own real currency designed by local artists. The nature there is divine, and accomodates many outdoor activities.
I highly recommend a visit!
