So, to recover from the beefathon, then the LP tasting, I have decided to go on a bit of salad kick for the next few days.
To start, a few days ago my girlfriend and I went to the restaurant that offers my current vote for "best salad in Chicago" - Topo Gigio and their "Joe's Salad"
Joe's Salad is $6.95 and described on the menu as "everything in the kitchen" which is not far from the truth.
It starts with a base of greens, but quickly adds literally a dozen or more other items - endive, garlic, tomotoes, onions, raisins, cucumber, walnuts, roasted red peppers, olives, buffolo motzerella, generous slices of aged parmasan cheese, and all topped with a great balasamic dressing.
What's not to love?
So, does anyone have any nominees for even better salads?
