So, in my ongoing taco truck research (see the map at http://www.yumtacos.com/ ), I went out to pick up supper this evening. I hit the taco truck zone on Northgate just past West El Camino, where there are usually two trucks; tonight there was only one.
In addition to the carnitas, lengua, and adovada tacos I got there, I noticed a lonely fellow with a cart at the far end of the lot. He had fried desserts, and a giant steaming cauldron of steamed corn on the cob. For $1.50, he puts a huge cob on a stick, butters it - real butter - rolls it in crumbled cotija, and shakes chili powder all over it. Absolutely delicious!
For $16, I fed two very hungry people with 2x jarritos, 10x tacos and 2 enormous ears of corn. Highly recommended.
