Went there tonight w/my friend from Maine. Never ate a lobster roll before, but I can't imagine anything better than what I had. We shared one lobster roll and an order of fried clams (Ipswich). Shannie said the lobster was really good, and TENDER. She was very impressed (and made just a bit homesick in the process). She was a bit put off by the prices as compared to Maine, but the added cost of flying in fresh product daily does make sense. House made thick-cut potato chips and french fries were perfect. I'm so full right now but I can't wait to go back. Will have to wait awhile as this doesn't really fit into my diet plan. Russell was very nice and stopped by our table to chat for a few minutes. He said he had been a lobster exporter back in Maine, so those connections definitely help.
As a driving tip to those unfamiliar with the area, at the risk of this post being deleted, going south on Veterans Blvd, make the first left turn after Jefferson (Main Street), go about 1/2 block or so (not over the bridge), and turn left into a driveway, which put me right in front of the place. A bright neon sign helped alot. (end of public service announcement.)
I'm sure with some more publicity, this place will really do well. Thanks again, rworange, for the original post and all the follow-ups. This is the best place to open on the Peninsula in a VERY long time.
