RW lunch at Umbria

Yah, I know that I said Domani yesterday was my last RW lunch, but after JBM's rave, and picking up Umbria's delicious-sounding menus last night, I had to try it on their last day (or so I thought, they've extended RW to next week; already made a dinner reservation!). We walked in at about 1:00 with four or five seats open at the bar, the dining room full. I started with the smoked salmon cakes with dill vinaigrette - two good-sized cakes of smoked salmon and potato?, creamy inside, crispy outside, accompanied by a nice pile of lightly dressed greens. My husband loved his prosciutto and melon, wonderful big slices of prosciutto and the melon was perfectly ripe. Quality of all ingredients are so very good here, which is one of the great things about their menus. Entrees were great, highlighted by the chew of fresh pasta. I had the chitarra and polpette, E had the goat cheese and pea ravioli. Dessert was a creamy tiramisu served in a martini glass and garnished with fresh strawberries. I think this is one of the best RW menus in town - I love that they've chosen to serve dishes served on their regular menu, which translates into not only quality and being able to try again a specific dish you loved, but also points to their confidence in their menu. Link below to the current RW menu I posted last night:
