Russ & Daughters Take-out for Hotel Room Breakfast?

jaschultze | Jan 21, 2011 02:50 PM

I absolutely love smoked fish so I have been reading about Russ & Daughters with great interest. We're visiting NYC next weekend but it's not on our itinerary to be near there during a regular meal time. We will be having an early dinner right around the corner one evening, however, so I had an idea to carry out something for breakfast the next morning. We're staying in Times Square and we do have a mini-fridge.

Any ideas on how best to accomplish this? I'm worried that their bagels might go stale by morning and a sandwich might get too soggy anyway. Is there a decent bagel around 45th and 6th Ave I could pick up in the morning, or can their lox and/or whitefish salad survive a Starbucks bagel? Any suggestions appreciated!
