I made buttermilk pie last night and set it out to cool on the countertop. Well… I ended up falling asleep and forgetting to transfer it to the refrigerator. I then treated it like a fruit pie, which I usually don’t refrigerate, and forgot to refrigerate it ‘till about an hour ago. It sat out for about 15 hours, probably at 60 to 65 F, and I’m wondering if I’m putting myself and DH in danger if we eat it.

The buttermilk was leftover from my homemade butter and was about 1 day old.
