My fiance and I just had an OUTSTANDING Chowhound experience on a trip to Maryland to visit family. We stayed at a very cool little B&B that just popped up near St. Michael's Maryland, about 60 minutes drive from Washington DC in a town right on the Chesapeake Bay. The acommodations were very clean and modeled after 19th century victorian from that area. The owners were both very nice people. The highlight was a dinner which they arranged for us right in their private dining room - we had the most incredible Italian/Eastern Shore fusion cuisine for a very reasonable amount of $$$. Depending on how much you are willing to spend, there is a choice of breakfast entrees including: some of the best Maryland bluecrab cakes I've had anywhere, virginia maple ham, and a number of traditional breakfast dishes which were all very good.
