Rodney's - A must-rec for BC 'hounders

Fiorentina | Aug 20, 2010 01:40 PM

As a visitor, I have to say that Rodney's was not on the Chowhound radar (at least not in a large way). But it was recommended to me by a local, and so I took a stroll through Yaletown and got there for happy hour (3-6). It's one of those places that you instantly feel at home in (reminds me of some of the oyster bars in Boston). The happy hour bar menu has, first and foremost, $1.50 oysters!, as well as chowder, mussels, ceviche, etc. There was a generous pour (or 3) of crisp Sauvignon to wash it down, and boy were those oysters tasty! It's a real deal, (at least to this LA dweller), and the place fills up in a hurry, so more than a few people know about it. Great afternoon.
