Rockenwagner Cookie - Disappointing

Ann | Apr 24, 2006 01:58 AM

Finally got a chance to stop in at Rockenwagner Bakery on my way to a Lakers party today. I bought each of the three cookie varieties--oatmeal raisin, chocolate macadamia and chocolate chip w/nuts--but sampled only the latter. I found it to be dry and pretty tasteless, unless you count oil as a flavor.

The young lady working the counter was pretty bland herself, just a step or two above rude. She tried to give me one cookie that had a sizeable piece missing. Probably caused by breakage and not anything gross but since I didn't see the straggler in the display case, it makes me think that somebody knew about it and was going to try to pass it off to some unsuspecting customer. She simply moved the cookie aside, leaving it in the case. I could be jumping to conclusions but...

On the plus side, the cookies cost only $1 each.

Since all other posts are generally glowing, I'll give Rockenwagner another shot but if my next experience is at all similar, I'm sticking with Massimo's.
