Tried this place for the first time tonight. We wanted something not over-crowded and more relaxing than some of the larger places. It's BYOB and the food is great. The front is deceptively small, yet inside there is plenty of room. The number of specials was astounding, the service was terrific, and a couple of piano players arrived and started playing during our meal. We tried a salad special and the sauteed calamari from the menu. The calamari was like none I'd ever had (and I've had a bunch) As main courses we had the Basa fish special and swapped out one of the toppings/sauce for another (waitress told us that if we didn't see it, he could make it, so I figured I'd ask). The other dinner was a veal with a balsamic reduction. The olive oil on the table was high quality, so much that we asked if we could buy some. The chef/owner came to the table and chatted for as long as he could stay out of the kitchen without falling behind. We wandered into the attached market/deli and he brought out another of his special appetizers to try -- a fried pickle, which was surprisingly good. He told us they have a special gnocchi night and a Souperbowl party the week before the real Superbowl. Anyway, long story shorter, I highly recommend this find.
