I have a friend who is enamored of the fancifully flavored rice puddings sold at this NYC (Greenwich Village) shop. The stuff is prohibitively expensive to have shipped, so I'd like to do my best to recreate one of their flavors for a birthday treat for him. I have a good recipe for a rich, but conventional rice pudding, but I don't know where to go from there. Is anyone familiar enough with this product (I've never had it, and the website only lists the names of the flavors, like "Fluent in French Toast" or "Chocolate Chip Flirt") to give me some guidance? I was thinking of just mixing in some chopped Heath Bar or Oreos, as in mix-in ice creams, but I'm afraid that might end up too sweet. Can anyone confirm if I'm on the right track here?
