I still love how they redid the old Black Goose space; Scollay Square is a really handsome bar/restaurant.
Three out of four generously sized entrees with a nice starch and veg were hits: grilled salmon, roast Statler chicken, cider-brined pork chop. The braised Kurabuta Volcano pork shank was a disaster, however: very tough, stringy, dry, flavorless, not seeming to benefit at all from braising. Fortunately, sharing of the three good entrees covered all our appetites.
Prices seem higher than I remember them last, with entrees averaging about $23. Service and bartending were adequate. A near-miss on what might have been perceived as a pretty good value.
