Review of new Pho Pasteur

Jae's in the Atrium Mall unfortunately closed and was replaced by Pho Pasteur. My wife and I dined there recently. While the Jae's there had been declining over the past year or so, it was always provided an above average dinner.

Pho Pasteur, unfortunately, is not a satisfying replacement. I started off with crispy spring rolls which came soaked in oil and evidently sitting around for a while and very unappetizing. The meal went downhill from there - the Bun Tom had grilled shrimp that was dry (and unshelled) and the lettuce was less than fresh. The vermicelli may have been sitting out for a while.

The service was spotty.

All in all, we're not anxious to repeat a visit.

Are the other Pho Pasteurs like this?
